Hi everyone,

I'm new here and i would like to get your expertise/experience on what can make any valves generate itself metal chips that can contaminate the medium in the line.

Thank you and hope to hear from everyone.

Regards,

Need to be more specific about what is "the valves generate metal chip itself". Does it mean the valve was damaged internally, and the metal from damaged valve got into the process flow?

If this is the case, it could be happened because of the corrosion, erosion, or the internal damage due to the fabrication or assembly.

Of fatigue, I have seen stems and butterflies break from being used in the wrong flow ranges.
Usually a combination of erosion and corrosion are to blame.
Debris in lines is also a consideration, it doesn't take a very large piece of scale or slag to jam a valve, damage it and then it is all downhill from there.
