Vanilla Autocad and XP 64bit

I just upgraded my operating system to XP64. Befor I reinstall Vanilla Autocad including an old ver 2002 and the new 2010 (we don't use Inventor) will there be any issues that I should be aware of. Will they both install OK?

I highly doubt ACAD 2002 supports (or is supported on ) 64 bit operating systems..
2010 does though..

Don't know why people keep switching to 64 bit systems without looking into the software they need to ensure it is going to work.

I have yet to find a 32bit program that won't run on a 64 bit machine. 64 bit applications work best though. Drivers, now that's a different matter.

If you have old hardware, you might run into trouble.

I have definitely encountered 32 bit engineering software that didn't work on 64 bit machines, particularly around the time that 64 bit machines were first coming out, and under Windows XP 64 instead of Vista.

That said, just install it and see what happens.

No point in installing 2002 when you have 2010... You can backsave to 2000 in 2010.



Working on 64 bit and being supported is totally different..
As soon as you tell them your using something like Autocad 2002 on a 64 bit OS their first sentence will be "I'm sorry we do not offer support for 2002 on 64 bit OS...goodbye."
