There are several vapor recovery lines, which are used at gasoline loading bays. During the day, lots of tankers come and go and there is an on/off valve in vapor recovery lines that shall be normally closed unless a tanker is stopped for loading and at this time, its line shall be opened by actuation of the valve. Considering frequency of operation (opening/closing of the valve), which type of the seat is appropriate for this valve?

Re. valve seat selection, steam recovery line. Any valve seat should be selected according to: Valve type, fluid components, pressure, temperature, flow (max/min), opening and closing time (max/min required), resulting valve size, acuator type etc. etc.

Apart from above missing information: In most (common) cases a ball valve with carbon filled ptfe sealing could be used, ss ball and valve. Note: exact opening and closing positioning, hairline opening likely to give cavitation.

Good luck!
