Can anyone recommend product that will allow electronic analogue signal to be adjusted in gain and offset? Output o to 5v full scale. Input could be anywhere +/- 24 v or -0.5 to + 3 v depending on input device. Current 200 to 10 mA.

Cheaper the better. For R&D work.

Thanks

Other than 'current 200 to 10mA' which I don't understand in the context it is used, or maybe because it isn't in any kind of context, there are plenty programmable converters. I like the PR5111, or its successor the PR5114A, from PR Electronics because it is so flexible in its configuration and its very flexible supply requirements - a very useful device to keep on the shelf for those awkward interfacing jobs.

Incidentally, 'cheap' is relative - did you have a figure in mind?

Thanks ScottyUK. I mentioned current as output potential of of input device. I am relatively ignorant of electronics but I wanted to give the idea of the power of the circuits involved and the fact that it too is variable depending on device.
Cheap means less the 30 USD. Now that is cheap.

That sure is cheap for a packaged product. If you find one you can bet it would read 'Made in China' on the case! [lol]

My solution costs a bit more than that, maybe someone else has some ideas which don't involve making your own circuit? Just bare in mind that developing your own has costs in terms of time you could spend doing something more useful to your employer like R&D on their products, not developing your own circuit! Over here £100 doesn't buy much of an engineer's time. Substitute dollars for pounds and you're about there for the US too.
