I'm trying to draw a variable pitch scroll that will transfer product (cylindrical vials of diameter 25mm and height 50mm) to set positions to be picked and placed. The product will be fed into the scroll and will be transported between a fixed rail and the scroll. On the attached drawing you can see the 9 pitch positions where the product is required to be at (the nine 28.5mm dia dimensions).
I'm not happy with the way I've drawn it. In my head I want to use the product as a cutting piece so during manufacture the cutting piece would move 55mm in the x direction in the same time that the scroll is turned one full revolution. That would be for the first pitch position. For the 2nd pitch position the cutting piece would move 40mm in x direction for one full revolution and so on.
Would much appreciate any guidance at all with this. Sorry if the above is a bit messy, if it's sounds incomprehensible let me know and I'll attempt to reword!
Cheers
