Ok I give up how do you add variable positioning constraints. In NX5 We are now in NX6 I have been trying to add some positioning constraints but am un able to find where it or what menu it is now under and how to get to it. Or is it that I need to grab the advanced assemblies’ license?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Do you mean position overrides? simply right click on the component and select override position. You can then "vary" the position.

My guess would've been arrangements. But override position may also be what he needs.

Position over ride is correct. I have them in place when we used mating conditions in NX5. Well we switched to NX6 and they wanted to switch to positioning constraints so we converted mating conditions to constraints. And now I need to move one of the components and have not been able to accomplish it. When I select the part to move (or over ride position) and mvb3 I have the selections of move, or remove over ride, I've tried various things but have not been successful.

Well today everything worked as it should I'm thinking some thing was hung up and after exit and resart this morning it seems to be working now. I read the help section and everything I could find online about over ride position constraints yesterday and it just didn't work. And today gave it another try and no problem.
Thanks!
