variable section sweeps in pro-e

If anyone can help with this problem it would be great. I need to do a variable section sweep in pro-e. I have only one cross-section,a rectangle, however I need to vary the cross-section non-linear in both directions. I have been trying to use the variable section sweep in wf2 to no avail. I created datum curves to bound the cross-section using table data, and have defined the cross-section as seperate sketches.
I tried to use some of the other multitude of sweep/blending tools pro-e offers but cnnot seem to get this operation to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

This is often a common oversight;

Make sure that the path defining the trajectory is shorther than the curves defining the section edges.

Alphaguru,

You should define your cross section from within the Variable Sweep comand after you select your curves and click the correct boxes to choose which trajectory will be the normal trajectory and x-direction for the feature.

If you do this you can sketch your section using the define option to create an internal section sketch SD00## just like you'd do to perform an extrude with out selecting a pre-defined sketch. you should not need to select any references because the sweep trajectories will be points that you can use to tie your section to with sketch constraints.

When I do want to reference other geometry I'll use the X sec refs button in the sketch References window to intersect surfaces or edges with the section plane at all all points along the sweep.
