VB Macro for External Links

Hey guys,

Did some digging around and can't find a good solution for this. Maybe there isn't one...

To explain, I need some sort of macro that will update all external links. We have machine files that are only accessed by our CNC programmers. They are not well versed with Catia and do not remember to check all pointed documents and external links. This is becoming a large problem.

Essentially, I want to check all links in the product, then update/load them if necessary.

Anyone have any ideas? I've look around for quite a while and it seems like the general consensus is no.

Hi,

If you don't have any other (good) solution, you'll need a macro to batch open CATIA files, force update and save those files...don't remember if is something existing in that utility tool...

Well, search this forum, Mike Berry's CATIA blog, COE develop and deploy forum.

Anyway, there is a very good article on Mike's blog about batch process, can give you some ideas.
