VBA vs AutoLISP

I intend to learn to program AutoCAD. My question is which language to use, VBA or LISP? I already know VBA pretty well from Excel so I'd prefer to keep going that way but I don't know enough about LISP to know what I'd be giving up.

Any comments or thoughts about the pros and cons of each?
