Hope someone can help with this. Trying to install Solid Edge version 18 with home license. It runs through the process of reading files, checking package integrity and extracting files. Next I get a Windows 2000 set-up window telling me to go to control panel to add system components. When I close this window there is nothing, the install has stopped. Have called tech support and they didn't have a solution other then pointing out min. system requirements calls for Windows XP, I'm running Window's 2000 Pro, service pack 4. He also mentioned something about program called Microsoft.net frame work, mine is version 1.1 Not sure if this is the problem or how to upgrade this program. Have tryed to install thru control panel, add/remove programs. Copied install file from the CD to my hard and tryed to install that way, same results. Any help really appreciated. Thank you.

errata:

V18 is the *last* to install on W2k, sorry for the mistake.
On the CD you will find a <drive>:\Solid Edge\Readme.txt
which has the details. InternetExplorer must be version 6.

Don't have access to the readme file. Only have one install file on the CD which is 526+kb. Does the file say anything about the Microsoft framework.net file?
Thank you.

the appropriate .NET Framework will be installed automatically
by the install script. Should be 1.1
