Vertical Exchanger - Tube Projection

I've got a 96 tube heat exchanger that was formerly horizontal, now is vertical. I'm replacing the bundle on it and the tubes are to be Seal Welded and Rolled.
Do I need to do anything different as far as tube projection because it is vertical?

If the tubes project at the top you will get fluid retention and pooling, this may not be good.
Which direction is flow? You don't want projection on the inlet side for flow reasons.
It is common to roll and then mill the ends to a controlled (and very small) projection before welding.

What type heat exchanger is this? Is it shell & tube? What fluids are involved? What fluid & what inlet temperature would be in the tubes. How many passes are the tubes. What fluid and wat inlet temperature would be ion the shell? In the vertical position where are the locations of the tube side inlet & outlet connections. In the vertical position where are the locations of the shell inlet and outlet. These information are needed to determine if there be problem with: air pockets; condensation pooling; poor heat transfer; tubing support; etc.
