Hi I would like to know if during UG anotation, can I have wording written in Vertical format.

I notice only horizontal wording is allow.

Yes you can.
On the Annotation Editor/Text Preferences
somewhere on the lower right side there you will find the options. One is the text angle and the other is for vertical text.
