Dear;

Good morning,

I was reviewing the plans for my client and found that there eh grooved boards where not specify what type of coupling victaulic must carry.

I would like to know what conditions must meet the line to install flexible or rigid coupling victaulic.

Greetings.

You need to provide some details on your application. Victaulic is a unique or proprietary design of a pipe, fitting, or joint, where the manufacturer may assign a pressure-temperature rating that may form the design basis for the piping system.

The use of flexible or rigid coupling victaulic would depend on the application and service.

You will find basic information about flexibale and rigid couplings use in Victaulic's design manuals in their web-site.

There is other important things to consider when you use victaulic fittings and grooved piping:
1. These proprietary coupling are "unlisted" material in B31.1 and B31.3 codes.
2. You have to add groove depth into manufacturing allowance (and corrosion allowance) when calculating minimum wall thickness per B31.1 and B31.3 codes

Regards,
Curtis
