View Dependent Edit - Convert model to view

I have created extracted edges in model space and rotated to new orientation. I need to convert these to view dependent geometry in a drawing view. UG NX2 will not let me select this geometry with View Dependent Edit -> Convert Model to View. I have tried class select, select all, nothing seems to work. Am I missing something here?

If memory serves, aren't Extracted edges View Dependant to begin with?

Try making them Model, in the view that you created them, then go into the desired drafting view to make them View Dependant there.

Extracted edges are only view dependant if created in a drawing view. These were created in model space, and as such should not be view dependant upon creation.

I have seen this problem on a few occasions, and look forward to the solution as debc does.

It works fine in NX3.

You may need to resort to putting the curves on a layer and controlling them in your drawing that way...that's how I had always done it pre-NX3.

There are several for view depent edit. They work fine
- there are compiled ones.
