view object checked out in Teamcenter 1

The view object from a part gets automatically checked out, we need to manually check - in the view in TC. (See docx)
In Nx is the cust. def. set to automatically check in when closing/saving the part. So this works for the dataset and part revision but not for the view?
What is causing this behavior and what can we do to prevent this?

Morning,

We had a simliar problem where, if we used teamcenter to view non-NX datasets like migration reports it would automatically check them out and not check them back in.

We solved it by setting the TC variable TC_Auto_Checkout to OFF (we're using TC 2007).

I don't know if this will solve your problem but it might be a solution.

i had set the variable to OFF but only on user level, the site level variable was still ON. Changed it to OFF.

I was to early for shouting victory.
The problem remains the same. Even with TC_Auto_Checkout OFF (on site level), the view object stays checked-out and we need to manually Check-in the object.
Anyone else got some ideas?
