Visual Basic and Solidworks??

So I'm trying to use the sample programs in the solidworks api help files for visual basic and have not had any luck...Do I need to do something in visual basic to make those sample programs run?...They compile just fine but nothing happens when I run them...I'm not too familiar with visual basic so I might be doing something wrong there...Any help would be greatly appreciated...

He better explained his problem in the Visual Basic forum. I believe he has not set the references for early binding. I have posted a detailed answer of what I think he should try there.
