Dear all,
I'm modeling a porous material. I have two questions about 'void ratio':
1) I have to use predefined fields to specify the initial void ratio: can someone explain me what is meant with 'point1 distribution' and 'voids ratio1'? What is 'elevation distribution'?? And if I choose for linear elevation distribution than I have to give Vertical coordinate 1&2. What is meant with 'vertical coordinate 1&2'?
2) I have done multiple loading analysis (just a axisymmetric model that I load on top for 100 seconds), each time with different void ratios: I don't see any difference in behaviour for the different analysis… With 'behaviour' I mean: no different rate of deformation, no different stresses, no different fluid velocities. All the results are exactly the same which is strange because I change my void ratio in the material properties and I also change the void ratio in the predefined field. Any idea why I can't see any differences? Or do I check the wrong parameters?
Thanks in advance!
