I wanted to find out about the coefficient or the volume reduction percentage to used for for aggregate base course.

MDD - 2.37, with moisture content of 6%.

98% compaction of MDD is require

I think students would understand that numbers must be referenced with their appropriate units though. . .

Use weight-volume relationships for before and after conditions. That will give you the appropriate factor. If this is a homework problem, don't post again.
