I have an auto cad file with some view ports with different scales.
If I type ms command to change any property of one of the view ports, the other view ports show the extended drawing and they loose their specified scale.
Please help me if you know how I can fix it.

Set the system variable UCSFOLLOW to 1 or 0 (I forget, check Help). You'll need to set it in each viewport.

I think you can also lock viewports.

I hope this is it!

Dear nimaoph,
Locking other viewports will help you to prevent their changes. The MVIEW command has a Lock option to lock the zoom scale factor of viewports.
To set the properties of a viewport you can select the viewport border and change its properties using the PROPERTIES command (or Ctrl+1 shortcut key). To set the zoom scale factor for a viewport you can select the viewport border and set desired scale using the field "Viewport Scale Control" in Viewports toolbar.
