Hi, I am busy spending time learning how VSD's work.
The electronics used to fire the IGBT's (Of the inverter)
is very complicated!
Is there any easy way of controlling the switching of the IGBT's?
Please advise

Please keep in mind that this is a TIPS forum, not a design sharing platform. That said, try searching the websites of the transistor manufacturers suchas Semikron of International Rectifiers. They provide plenty of help in designing their components into your products.

Suggestion: It is not clear in the original posting if practical/design aspects, or theoretical/mathematical aspects are sought.

How do we control the Magnetising current and the load current independently is not clear. I have discussed with the experts of ABB, Rockwell,Siemens and others.
Can any one suggest some simple( Complicated) reading, how the vectors are sensed and how they are changed continuously based on the slip?
