VW TDI data

I just bought a 2003 VW TDI and I am looking for technical data to do analysis. Information such as boost pressure, emission devices, are there any preexisting engine coatings, etc.

My ultimate goal is to increase MPG. Can anyone tell me where to find the information?

Almost any information that you might want to look for might have been discussed to some extent there.

For fuel economy, there is a forum section at TDIClub dedicated to the subject. Look for posts from a member named Ernie Rogers, who IIRC is a retired aeronautic engineer. He has been featured on Autoblog Green and others.

I could name so many other members and topics, but if you haven't already been there, it would be the best start.
