Dear All,
I'm looking for the right live design loads per OSHA for designing walkway ans platform for industrial site.
there are sevel rate,40 60, 100 psf, I'm confused and I like to be sure to use the right rate with OSHA reference.
could you help please.

Thanks.
Laurent.

That is a tough problem. 40 psf will work if nobody ever lays a large valve or manway cover onto the platform. The structure owner needs to be asked enough questions about maintenance usage and operating/repair conditions that you can arrive at a reasonable Design Condition. OSHA being a 'legal' document, it has very little to do with good engineering practice.
