Wankel apex seal lubrication 1

Does anyone know how the apex seal on the Wankel engine is lubricated? Is oil added to the fuel or injected at some point on the perimeter or is it not lubricated at all?

On Mazdas, it is injected into the peripheral surface of the rotor housing
