I have cgm file (having black background) & want to take picture of dwg but with white background. I tried to use command High quality image under view- visulization but when i shadow it i don't see anything.

Par1,
File, Export, (choice of gif, tiff, jpg, etc), click 'use white background', follow the bouncing ball... This will create a picture for attaching to an email, etc. If your taking a pic of the dwg sheet, any views added to the dwg that are shaded will NOT plot come through. If you need pics of a shaded model, then just do the above in modeling, not while viewing the dwg.

CAD should pay for itself, shouldn't it?

Have you tried importing the CGM into Word or any other CGM viewer and adjusting the brightness/contrast? If that doesn't do the trick, make your drawing Monochrome and then export the CGM.

For a drawing, I'd recommend plotting the drawing to file (which makes a .ps PostScript file) then open the .ps file with Ghostview and convert to PDF. Just make sure you're not plotting colors and everything should be black on a white background.

Export a cgm of the drawing; under "Colors" make sure it reads "Black on White".
