Warehouse Ventilation

Hi Guys,

I'm doing general warehouse design. As ASHRAE ACPH requirement is only o.o6ACPH/sqft.
But as its a large warehouse area of approx. 3500 sqm and height of 11mtr.
Im going with industrial fans.
So i'm installing industrial fans, there will not be any air change until the doors get openend.
Is this work to maintain comfort condition in area.

If you need the doors open to get make-up air for the fans, you will have problems. You need to have a source of make-up air, there is more than one way to accomplish this.
1) Make-up air fans
2) Louvers with dampers. Dampers can be either motorized or gravity.

Will it be comfortable, depends on your definition of what comfortable is. Will you be able to maintain 75F, 50% RH when it's 95F/80% RH outside, no.
Whether or not basic ventilation will be enough will depend on what is being stored in the warehouse and the number of occupants. This is something you need to discuss with the owner to establish what his requirements are, then design a system to meet his requirements.

What about heat? What is the climate? Air Rotation units are usually a good choice for large warehouses.

There is no requirement for temperature or rh.
The area is already having louvers on wall on all 3 sides.

In the general design a ASHRAE ACPH is in fact required though. Not sure if I present this correctly in our website. I want to be able to support these products so our local clients can have something that makes sense to them. looking at Coral Springs hvac services, we'll need a large warehouse to accommodate our products? whats your opinion? Right now we have about 1000sqf only and not sure if its enough.

We use .06 cfm/ft2 ventilation rate delivered by a makeup air unit. Temperature and RH as need by owners project requirements.
