Warm Start come from V4 where you can start catia after a crash with what was in memory.... so you retrieve your file, very nice if you did not save for an hour or more.
I have the feeling the warm start option in v5 works only if you have automatic saving.
it could help when catia crash. I would like in v4, clean my file, save it, then start a new session with clean CATSettings.
