I am a civil eit so i figured I'd ask in a structural forum. We have an anchor rod running through a concrete deadman. We were not sure what the final angle would be so we spec'd a 2" pvc sleeve to allow for some variance. Didn't think about what size washer plate we needed. Now I am trying to find some guidance. The 1" galvanized anchor rod is subject to about 10kips. Did the math and the concrete holds with no problem, just need to transfer the load from the rod to the deadman. Should I just spec an 8"X8"X3/8" plate to be safe? Any advice on where to look would be greatly appreciated. Still trying to impress the boss that I can come up with solutions without having to ask him everything. I saw something about oversize hole is bolt diameter plus 3/16". We are bolt diameter plus 1". Sorry for what sounds like a very uneducated question.
