I'm currently developing a wastewater management program for work. We have large ponds that hold logs and we add a small amount of NaOH to reach a target pH of 8.5. The water inside the ponds recirculate and we maintain an average temp of 180F.
What is the calculation to estimate the evaporation rate of our wastewater?
Would the TSS level effect the rate of evaporation?

Water losses occur the evaporative heat transfer process. You need to know the climatic conditions such as wind speed and water vapor pressures. The linked article provides a framework to estimate the evaporation.
