On a continuos potatoes frying machine I need to handle by a centrifugal blower the water steam and oils fumes.
What are the most suitable ventilator array that allow a easy clean, and better, the one that does not get sticky by the condensation of the oil fumes.
It should be direct drive , because the pulley and belt are damaged by the vapours stream.
I'm thinking on a cleaning in place system.
The flow involved is about 20 to 30 m3 minute.

Who say I can not ?
How it works?
Where I can get?
Are they washable?
How long it will run , before cleaning?
Any comment will be wellcome.

Demister pads are nothing but multiple layers of knitted metal wire (mostly) meshes.

They are washable and duration between two washes depends upon the quantity of liquid in the air and redundancy in your blower capacity.

For one of our coating machines (it is for solid separation) the duration is 6 months but then we get 1/2" thick cake for a floor area of 1m x 1m.[wink]

Generally the efficiency is near 99%.

A search at Google by the words "Demister Pad" yielded the following links.
