-WATER CHARGE IN ABSORPTION CHILLER-

Dear All,
someone think that to put a lot of water charge inside the absorption chiellr is a good idea.For me it's better change the charge by the level ine the refrigerant vessel or,better, by the concentration level on the poor solution.
What do you think of that??

And when the abs chiller running with the hot water at 85°C-90°C is it better to reduce the LiBr charge?

You can only run your absorber within certain concentration limitations. Adding refrigerant to the machine will only cut down on capacity if its overcharged. What model absorber do you have? A little more information would be helpful here. IE: Concentrated, dilute and intermediate solution concentrations. Aproaches, chilled and cooling water temps in and out etc.

Running 85C to 90C hot water to the machine is pretty low unless its designed that way. Most are designed for 180C or around that area at design full load. With those low generator temperatures Id have to think your only getting about 50% of rated capacity unless the machine is way oversized for the job.
