How would you calculate max. water flow through a 1" orifice, assuming no friction loss; 120psi. ? and a 1 1/2" orifice?

I'd use the 'Crane flow of fluids' booklet. If you do a keyword search, you'll find lots of information on it and how to get one. It is also an excellent reference for other hydraulic problems you will be asked to answer.
