Water lubricated bearings

Can anyone point me in the direction of helpful sleeve bearing design guides for the poorest of all lubricators: water? Every damn bearing guide assumes that you're going to use grease of some variety, and with most chemical applications that isn't going to work?

You are looking into a very developed area.
Pump people are using different composites, rubber or plastic bearings depends upon the design requirements and liquid you are pumping.
