I am designing rpz docs for a 3-story res bldg. 3rd flr converted to asst living space and fire spkrs were installed.
It is now a dom water/fire splr loop system.
The exist water is increasing from 3/4" to a 2" so a new service is needed w/an rpz.
there is a plywood sheet on basement wall with all elec/phone service panels mounted on it.
The water service enters at the left bottom corner of this setup and the rpz 3 foot open area is facing the open area of elec equip.
Is this permitted? can a splash guard be mounted as protection or is there a code requiring a specific distance apart of each other.
If there is a code restriction where is it written. this is ny state (long Island) (Nassau County)
