Hi Guys,
I am trying to compare the water vapour resistance of Multi-pro XS boards and British Gypsum Duraline boards. I know from previous projects that Multi-pro is suitable for the conditions I'm facing, but the architect has specified 15mm Duraline.
Multi-pro has a vapour resistance of 3.8 MNs/g (Mega Newton Seconds per Gram) whereas Duraline shows as 10µ. Using the conversion formula shown in the attached document, Duraline is coming back as 0.35MNs/g.
I'm not sure whether this means Duraline is more suited to a wet environment or not.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me, please?
