Hello all,

I have been given the dubious project of obtaining and compiling general cost estimates for assets in water treatment and wastewater treatment plants. It is a fairly comprehensive list, so there are a tonne of items and they want me to find as many as I can. If I chase down each cost from manufacturers it would take a long time, and be a biased cost list. Does anyone have any good leads for sites that would have general costs for water/wastewater assets? Any university or other sites that may have the information I'm looking for? (I'm already checking the EPA and Canadian Green lane sites, but I expect them to be somewhat limited)

Much thanks to anyone who can help.

The US EPA used to maintain a Cost Index for wastewater collection and treatment plants.

Another good, although dated, reference may be found in Water Treatment Plant Design by Robert L. Sanks, Ann Arbor Science Library. Although the costs are dated you will find some excellent ideas on how to approach the task through parameter cost estimating.

good luck

Call a few collection system owners. they are all going through the CMOM and GASB inventory updates now. The assets may be dated by heir original construction costs. Unfortunately they cost 4-10 times as much to build today. And in highly developed ares even more,

This site has a lot of sitework related items:

Note:
1) I usually find their unit prices conservative on the high side, but it sounds like you are just trying to approximate.

2) The site gives regional estimates by State in the USA. If you are working outside the USA (from you name), I don't know if this link will help or not.

Hello,

Thanks for all your help, its has been very beneficial to not have to thrash around blindly on the internet. I've located a couple of helpful sites thanks to your information.

P.S. I'm not Russian, I'm actually from Ontario, Canada. Just a handle I've been using using for a long time. Anyway, lha, get-a-quote happens to have Ontario info on it too, so that's pretty helpful.

Thanks again, everyone.
