Waterproof adhesive for bonding acrylic to other plastics

Hi,

I have an application requiring the bonding of acrylic to vinyl, abs and acrylic, that will be permanently situated underwater.

The water may contain salt at some point in the future if this makes a difference.

The fittings are not perfectly snug, so cant use contact adhesives, so the ideal solution would also fill any gaps when fully cured.

I would start by looking at the 3M Acrylic structural plastic adhesives.

Depending on how strong of a bond you are looking for, there are glues that are a mix of polyisocyanates (strong)along with a primer and some butyl benzyl phtalate that is extremely strong and expands a bit as its drying.

You should also look at urethanes if you want a flexible bond. Loctite has a lot of information to help you decide in their adhesive sourcebook.
