I've been having this problem, not really sure how to solve it.

I'll WBLOCK or even CopyClip objects in a drawing and create a new file. Wblock does not create the acad file.

Sometimes if i explode all the geometry it will work.

Any idea what could be causing this?

sp1ke727,

my tip are proxies. Are objects inside your dwg from a vertical-product like MDT or an newer Acad-version?

I don't know by what you mean WB does not work; please explain.
I never had any problem w/ r-14 thru 2005 versions.

Basically what happens in order:

-wblock>enter
-select a base point for the objects I want to select.
-select the object geometry
-give it a file name
-tell acad where the file will reside on my harddrive.(usually my desktop)
-click ok

I check my file destination and the file is not there.
This also has happens with the copy clip and paste commands.

This doesn't happen all the time but certain instances when Im copying from another file. I think Exxit is right and I'll have to study up on proxies to see exactly what im doing wrong. Alot of the customers we deal with have the current versions of autocad and I find myself converting their files using DWGTrueConvert.

Thanks guys

sp1ke727,

your problem is not new.
Some advices:
Try the macro. Maybe it works with AC2002.

Maybe the problems occur, because some objects are from AC2007. These users have to install the hotfix.

Try the "2000 from 2007 Find Utility (exe)", and reply...

Check window explorer instead of the desktop for the filename with the .dwg extension.
