Hi,
If the self elevating jack up drilling rig is following Modu code, the ventilators need to install weather tight closing appliance if the ventilators are less than 4.5 m above the main deck. We do have the shut off dampers to be able to close the compartment it serve at main deck. But I do believe that this is for the fire safety and can not be use as weather tight closing device. Yours valuable advices are much appreciated.
