Web-tapered Members

On page 5-102 of the 9th ASD, Appendix F, there is some information on web-tapered members.

Is there any comparable information in the new 13th manual? If not, please suggest any reference material.

No, I think AISC intentionally skipped over tapered web members in the 13th Edition. A Design Guide that addresses these is currently being written by Don White and Dick Kaehler. May be out later this year????

The 13th Edition seminar I attended included a statement that the web-tapered provisions were removed. I seem to remember them saying that the removal was due to the fact that not many folks were ever using it as they weren't standard in the steel industry except for pre-engineered metal buildings, and that industry had a lot of data/research/information available for their own use anyway.
