Hi all,

Anyone know how to calculate weight corroded for Storage Tank Shell?

Thanks for the help!

Assuming you are doing some calculation (such as API-650) that asks for "corroded weight"-
The corroded thickness of each shell course is the as-built thickness minus the specified corrosion allowance.
Corroded thickness x shell course height x tank circumference x weight/volume plus any conversion for units will do it, and total up for the whole shell.
The top angle and wind girder may be included there if desired.
If no corrosion allowance is specified, then the corroded weight will be the same as the as-built weight.

Jstephen,

You are exactly right sir! Thanks for the help!
