Weight of EIFS or dryvit system

Fellers,

hopefully a simple question. I have a 6" metal stud wall @ 16" oc with EIFS, what would be the weight of this system. I usually use about 10 psf but i'm thinking this is high.

In AISC, Design Guide 22, Table 2-1. Dead Loads for Facade Components and Systems, lists 6" metal stud backup @ 16" oc as 1.7 psf and EIFS self weight as 1 psf. But under Common Design Assumption for System, it lists 10 psf for EIFS, which in note 5 at the bottom of the table includes gypsum sheathing, metal studs, and hardware.

Are you having an issue getting a spandrel to work that you want to reduce this already low load?
