Can somebody tell me what the upper limit weight of a 120 ft tall, 4 legged, metal lattice type light tower is? We have to pick it up and set it down because we are digging next to it (I am a geotechnical engineer).

Boy, that is a wide open question. I suggest you measure the size of one of the leg members, get the weight for it from a steel manual and then estimate the weight of the tower. wt/ft x 4 legs x 120' x 1.5 to allow for lattice. Don't forget to allow for wind on the tower.
