NX6.0.5.3 (soon to be 8.5)

I have tried searching the Siemens NX site regarding the weld assistant, and have been unable to find any info. Can anyone direct me to such info? Is it still available? What are it's capabilities?
TIA!

Have you looked at the Weld Assistant section of the online NX Help files (AKA Documentation)? If you're having problems finding it, for NX 6.0, it can be found in the 'Manufacturing Design Tools' chapter of the Documentation set.

As for NX 8.5 Help, with the new and improved 'search' capabilities, it's actually often easier to use it rather than navigating the table-of-contents to find the various 'articles' covering the modules and tools of NX.

OK, I found and looked over the Help documentation, but still have a question. I've been told that in Pro-E, you can automatically create a single solid body for downstream use after apply the welds. Is this possible with the NX Weld Assistant?

Not as a function within the Weld Assistant itself, but this is one of those workflows where Promotions or WAVE linking could be used to get a single solid model as the end product.
