Weld note

I am quoting on an aluminum tube assy that has a sheet metal pad welded to one end. Material is all 6061-T6.
There is a weld symbol with a process or specification reference, RE-PS-28-3 CL-B. Also there is written "Weld per IAW G-F401. IAW could mean "In accordance with" or International Association Welding? The part is old Fairchild or Northrup aircraft if that helps.

I think your note has two words that mean the same..."per" and "IAW". The appropriate welding group would be IIW (International Institute for Welding). The G-F401 is found in one of Northrup-Grumman's Approved Processor Listing Spec (APLS), but does not reference further.

You might call Northrup-Grumman.
