I have an application where some stud bolts need to be plug welded into a hole in a plate.
Normally we would use A307 stud bolts, but this project has a high temperature application which A307 would not be suitable.
Is there another type of bolting material that is weldable with a higher temperature range?

I don't believe that there is a standard, off-the-shelf product that meets your requirement. What kind of strength and temperature is needed?

Take a look at the stainlesses: A-193 type 8 and 8M. For added strength, they can be ordered strain-hardened.

Once they are welded they will be tempered back. I agree with TVP that you will need to go outside the standards on this.
