welded parts supplied per UG-11 of ASME code 1

Has anybody received or supplied welded pressure parts using UG-11 in ASME section VIII? And what kind of documentation was supplied to you or that you sent?

Certificate of conformance for standard pressure parts to partial data reports for prefabricated pressure parts.

we are looking to have another certificate holder supply some tubes with plugs welded in and they said all they needed to supply was a certificate of conformance stating that all work is in compliance with ASME.
Just seemed odd. So we would need a U-2A for each tube? (164)in total.

You can request from the ASME Certificate holder whatever you need to satisfy your Quality Program requirements. In this case, since the tubes have pressure retaining welds, I would request a partial data report (U-2A) applicable for all of the tubes supplied with welded plugs, and not for each individual tube.
