Metallurgy is one of the more difficult disciplines to master in the subject areas of materials science and engineering.

Dear Mr.Maui,

Don't let your student performance hinder yourself. I fell on the finish line and since repeatedly told I was the best engineer they met. I've also met a 3.8 GPA grad that couldn't figure out the pre-sets on his car radio. A project manager recently shook her head while remarking "grades don't mean a thing".

My sister failed out of a private college and now has a nursing degree and two masters.

Luck happens when planning meets opportunity. If your life situation provides the opportunity, I suggest you take it before obligations of wife, kids and debt close the door for good.

It appears that you now have the potential to move into a QA/QC position within a metals fabrication company. You may wish to pursue a metallurgical or materials degree to further advance your pursuits.

With further experience in QA/QC and additional educational courses in welding and metallurgy, you may be able to move into the welding engineering or metallurgical disciplines within that company and similar manufacturing or contracting companies.

Dear Mr.weldstan,

Thanking You. I'm Now thinking to do ASQ CQE and planning to do FURTHER Welding course. Which one is best to understand easily IIW Course or CSWIP?.

I do not have experience with either courses. I do have experience with IIW regarding its expertise in welding engineering and welding metallurgy so I believe that a course in either would be valuable in that regard. My experience with CSWIP was limited to inspectors who had CSWIP certification and a number of those inspectors were among the best I have ever hired and would have readily hired them for work in the USA if they were eligible and became available.
