Welding and Supporting Foam Shield on Top of Floating Roof Shell

Hi every one,
I need some information for installing 8 backboards for foam chambers on top of the floating roof tank shell. the shields size are 14' x 5'. I could not find any reference for minimum requirement for thickness and support calculation of these shields installation. Does anyone have experience in this regard? Could you please help me in this?
