Hi everybody,
Glad to joint in this honorable forum. I'm new comer in this forum and i want to ask to you all about welding connection check. Could anybody here show me how to calculate welding connection check based on ABS code?
Right now i'm dealing with FPU modification, and the FPU was built based on ABS code and standards. I've been checking
ABS code "Building and classing of steel vessel 2014" but there aren't any rules regarding to weld check. There are only minimum welding size provided by the code.
As long as i know, i usually check the welding connection based on the shear, bending, and combined stress acting on it, compared to allowable stress defined by AISC. Could anybody here help me to figure this out?
