I'm having trouble finding out what code (ASME, AWS, SAE) applies to welding high pressure (6,000 psi) hydraulic tube assemblies. SAE J518 and ISO 6162 cover the flanges, but I haven't seen anything regarding weld requirements.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Out of curiosity do you have any info or standards that pertain to 3,000 psi? I am starting to working on a spec for a hydraulic distribution system for my new structures lab. The architect says "no problem, we have done this before." But I want to cover my behind. Thanks, ISZ
